SACRAMENTO – The county Coroner's Office has identified one of two homeless men found dead on Saturday in a flooded camp near the American River as David Griffin, 58.
The other man's identity has not been released, pending next-of-kin notification.
Authorities said neither death appeared suspicious but that they are trying to determine the cause.
One body was found in a tent and the other nearby, police said. Others in the camp, between the river and Northgate Boulevard near Highway 160, had left because of the severe storms and had warned the two men to leave, police said.
