A man's body was found Friday evening floating in the American River near Highway 160 and Northgate Boulevard, according to the Sacramento County Coroner's Office.
Police are not investigating the death as suspicious, said Lt. Jim Hendrickson.
He said there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body.
The man was clothed and appeared to have been in the water at least several days, Hendrickson said.
