Independence Day for (drunken) dummies

A note to all those boozy bozos out there who seem to think that the underlying purpose of the Fourth of July is to lose as many brain cells and teeth as possible in a 24-hour period: It seems you need a refresher course in basic human behavior.
The evidence? Yet another round of carnage this holiday along the lower American River; a premature ending to Rancho Cordova's fireworks show; and various fights and hospitalizations due to alcohol poisoning.
The pathetic behavior was a blemish on an otherwise perfect day that almost all of us celebrated in style. So to you spoilers out there, we will try to keep the following sentences of advice short and the syllables, so as not to tax your brains, to a bare minimum.
