Three Monkeys sounds terrific. A bright spot in the 700 block.
Marcos Bretón: Restaurant a boost to K Street

The most promising new restaurant in Sacramento is much more than a great place to eat sushi or fantastic pulled-pork sandwiches in a dynamic space.
It is more than an ideal spot to watch NFL games on Sunday afternoons -- with every game available on the NFL Sunday Ticket.
Three Monkeys, at 723 K St., is a triumph of entrepreneurial spirit over decades of decay in the urban core of Sacramento.
It's a welcoming place to eat and drink where years of thought went into every detail and menu item. But opening a restaurant while complimentary development on K Street has been halted by litigation?
It's why Three Monkeys deserves a plug: for its quality and for what it represents.
"We're part of something that needs to happen," said Robert Wilson, CEO of Harvest Ventures Inc., owners of the 10,000-square-foot restaurant across the street from the Downtown Plaza.
An antidote to shuttered buildings along the 700, 800 and 900 blocks of K Street, Three Monkeys is a story of people who believed in downtown Sacramento when it didn't believe enough in itself.
