Parkway Bike Trail

In R.E. Graswich’s column in the Bee today, a nice tidbit about the Parkway's bike trail, and how it is so much more hospitable to bicyclists than the levee roads…a sentiment probably shared by Parkway trail riders.

Bikers beware: Passionate debate continues to stir this column over the question of who is more rude on the local levee roads -- bicyclists or motorists? "You have to remember the speed limit on much of the River Road is 50 miles per hour," said Kim Johas. "I grew up down near Clarksburg. I've seen cyclists cross into oncoming lanes or refuse to move for farm vehicles." Kim believes there are better places to pedal than Delta levee roads.
