The due date for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to complete an updated cost-benefit study on the Auburn dam came and went Wednesday.

Language included in the omnibus federal Energy and Water Development Act for the fiscal year ending this Sept. 30 pegged an Aug. 30 due date for circulation to congressional and Senate committees.

Bureau spokesman Jeff McCracken said Bureau of Reclamation, Department of the Interior and Office of Management and Budget officials in Washington have been briefed on a draft version of the report.

But there is no time frame for public release of the report at this time, McCracken said."We want to ensure the document is fully reviewed before we move forward," he said. "It's not really a delay -- we just want to ensure that it's done right."
