Construction resumes Monday to repair part of the American River Trail near Cal Expo damaged by a railroad trestle blaze in March.

Cyclists will have to take detours for two weeks from mile marker 3.5 to mile marker 6. Signs are posted to alert riders of two detours:

• Inside the parkway along a 3/4-mile dirt trail.

• Outside the parkway along a 2-mile paved road and a gravel-topped levee.

Cyclists also can take side streets.
